DETAILED SYNOPSIS:
Powerhouse drummer and singer Buddy Miles has been playing in bands since he was the age of twelve in 1959. Since then he has played and recorded with some of the biggest names in progressive rock, blues and funk music, including Santana, John McLaughlin, The Electric Flag, Muddy Waters and Bootsy Collins.
Buddy is probably best known for his association with Jimi Hendrix, playing on his ‘Electric Ladyland’ album as well as being a key member of Jimi’s post-Experience group The Band of Gypsys - one of the first all-black rock bands.
Buddy has also been fronting groups of his own since first forming the influential Buddy Miles Express back in 1968, playing his eclectic fusion of rock, blues, psychedelic, funk and soul music.
Between 1969 and 1975 he enjoyed ten U.S. pop hit singles and eleven album hits under his own name. Buddy is featured on this DVD playing at two separate concerts.
